Air Quality Monitoring Systems (AQMS)

Air Quality Monitoring Systems (AQMS)

AIMS as part of its environmental responsibility has taken up the job to enable more sustainable and affordable air quality monitoring across the GCC. In its continuous endeavors AIMS has been successfully supplying equipment and complete solutions for air quality monitoring. AIMS has also successfully integrated, commissioned and maintained AQMS for some of the most prominent entities such as ADNOC, Fujairah Environmental Authority, Zones Corp, AD ports, DUQUM and Qatar petroleum.

Though the maintenance is done routinely with diligence which is the most important achievement of all, some of the key achievements also include:

  • AIMS has successfully integrated the CEMS and PEMS Data from the ADNOC group companies with the ADNOC Ambient system.
  • As part of Fujairah Environmental Authority’s requirement AIMS has provided a solution and is successfully implementing to integrate the all local industrial emission data to their central system.

AQMS Achievements:

  • AIMS has achieved 90% in performance rating in the Contractor Performance Evaluation for AQMS in 2021 by ADNOC.
  • AIMS successfully completed PETROFAC AQMS project in Oman.
  • Fujairah Municipality awarded AQMS project to AIMS for the 5th consecutive year.
  • Qatar Petroleum awarded AIMS for the Air Quality Monitoring and Maintenance and the Phase 1 maintenance plan was successfully carried out.

AIMS has employed key state-of-the-art systems/equipment with standard measurement methods approved or comparable to the USEPA. Listed are some of the products.

Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS)

Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS)

A continuous emission monitoring system (CEMS) is the total equipment necessary for the determination of a gas or particulate matter concentration or emission rate using pollutant analyzer measurements and a conversion equation, graph, or computer program to produce results in units of the applicable emission limitation or standard. CEMS are required under some of the EPA regulations for either continual compliance determinations or determination of exceedances of the standards. The individual subparts of the EPA rules specify the reference methods that are used to substantiate the accuracy and precision of the CEMS. In collaboration with our renowned manufacturers, AIMS has provided CEMS systems to many different industries in the region.

Predictive Emission Monitoring System (PEMS)

Predictive Emission Monitoring System (PEMS)

A predictive emission monitoring system (PEMS) is the total equipment necessary for the determination of a gas concentration or emission rate using process or control device operating parameter measurements and a conversion equation, a graph, or computer program to produce results in units of the applicable emission limitation or standard.

Software-based predictive emission monitoring system (PEMS) for continuous real-time monitoring of pollutants such as NOX, SO2, CO, HC or reference variables such as O2.
PEMS are an innovative and cost-effective approach to continuous monitoring of emission sources as an alternative to continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS).
Functionality: A predictive emission monitoring system cannot measure emissions directly and instead uses an empirical model to predict emissions based on historical and real-time process data.
Together with our principal DURAG Data Systems AIMS has installed PEMS in ADNOC Gas Processing in UAE.

Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA)

Relative Accuracy Test Audit (RATA)

Relative Accuracy Test Audits (RATA) compares data from a facility’s Continuous Emissions Monitor System (CEMS) to a simultaneously collected reference method test data in order to assess the accuracy of the CEMS readings.

AIMS provides comprehensive services to our clients to ensure that they are meeting the requirements of EPA including:

  • Preparing Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manuals;
  • Managing a facility’s performance evaluation requirements to ensure that quarterly, semi-annual and annual evaluations are scheduled and conducted to meet the requirements of EPA
  • Conducting Relative Accuracy Test Audits, Flow Audits and Cylinder Gas Audits
  • Conducting Annual Independent Inspections to ensure that the facility is meeting quality assurance objectives and identifying areas of improvement
  • Conducting on-site training to ensure facility personnel understand the requirements of Environment protection agency and the importance of the Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manual

Technical support to aid the facility/industry in interpreting EPA Report and understanding how it applies to their facility.
